Knolls OHV Area is located in the Great Salt Lake Desert, 80 miles west of Salt Lake City, just south of I-80. The Knolls consists of nearly 36,000 acres of white sand dunes, mud flats, trails, and large hills. It is open all year round and is managed by the BLM. Toilet facilities are available but there is no water. Cost is $6/Day and $40/annual pass & camping is allowed. The Knolls is one of Utah’s best OHV play areas. Knools OHV area does border a bombing range. Tons of off-road fun is waiting, but stay within the boundaries –

Activities Available: OHV/ATV play area; dispersed camping (no picnic tables or fire rings).
Amenities: Parking/staging areas; vault toilets.
Regulations: Fire pans required. Bury your ashes. No glass bottles outside of vehicles. No target shooting. No trash pick up, carry it out.
Location and Directions: Located south of I-80, 80 miles west of Salt Lake City. Take Exit 41 and follow signs to Knolls OHV Area.
